Life At The Aia during a global pandemic

There comes a time in life where we think about our choices. We look back to the past and think, had I done that, or not done this? As we approach the nearly 40th day of Quarantine- I feel a deep sense of certainly that the choice I made to leave big city life for the country was the right choice. Sometimes it’s strange to think about raising my daughter in a such a different context then I was raised in. Switching walks with Mom in Washington Square Park in NYC for nameless country roads. Sundays in vintage stores, and book shops in the East Village of downtown Manhattan for a walk in the piazza and cobble stone streets not good for skating. Now as we are all living this time of profound isolation, we have been given time to reflect, and what a greater gift. It becomes clear that where we put our attention really matters. It’s definitely a time of collective uncertainty. When we stop and think about how scary or frustrating it is not to have answers we realize everyone is in this together. Here At the Aia we work in tourism, that is a pretty obvious question mark at this time in history. But i have zero doubts about the future of this project I’ve been working on for the past four years. When you love what you do, life takes on a special meaning.

We love to host our guests, but we can’t at this time obviously. In the mean time we've compiled a photo gallery of images of what life At The Aia is like during this unprecedented time. Enjoy a virtual experience of The Aia with our virtual gallery of life At The Aia during a global pandemic.
